SO how did I spend my holidays? First I shifted to a family friends’ house in CCK and stayed there for 5days. Before that however we prepared for my brother’s big move...to good old Australia. Talking about that, I’m supposed to move over to Australia when I was 19, after spending 1 or 2 years at Monash in KL. Instead, it didn’t happen, and now...I’m Stuck in SG. But then again, it ain’t exactly a bad thing, cos I make friends and know more people...Wonder how I would react if I would actually leave SG. Oh well. Anyway my mom finally learn how to use the computer! Not typing though, but SKYPE!
Though they finally get the hang of skype, we used it to chat with our family friends in KL..think they were shocked to learn that my mom finally know how to use the computer haha. the internet’s system is very backwards in Perth...and you literally need to pay through your nose if you exceed the time limit.[Shudder. What would I do w/o the comp/] And did you know that in AussiE ppl don’t SMS, they CaLL each other instead?
Anyway back to my stay at CCK...the couple were hospitable, but nothing beats HSH. Seriously, the best place to be is on your own or at home...Cos its hard work being a good house guest, especially if you need to keep them company. Not that impatient, but its a lil hard to converse with the Aunty cos she’s recovering from a stroke. And they’d early risers so would wake me up at 8am/8.30 when all I wanted was to sleep in... Anyway all I could say was they’d so hospital.... food is aplenty and they make sure that I was never [oops] hungry as there’s biscuits and fruits around. But what I like best at their house is the popcorn! Its the healthy popcorn type, unlike those sold at the cinema...
Anyway over at their place, their granddaughter came over during the morning and the grandfather will send her to kindergarten after lunch. As for the grandson, the school bus would drop him at the house and he will stay till his parents pick him up.
As for me though I stayed at their place I did my own stuff.... Went for driving lessons, had a lil R&R at Borders, meet my friend for lunch, had dinner with Ying.... And Ying made me smile for the camera! Grrrrh.
How’s the driving? On the 1st lesson, I lean the mechanics behind the car, tried my hand at using the gears, learn how to accelerate and feel the biting point....
On my 2nd lesson, I drove round the circuit 15 times. Think I gave the instructor a heart attack as I accelerate too much and went over the markings a few times[sorry!] However what really get on my nerve is when I need to stop the car. Not only that, it is the times when I can move off after the car/ bike in front stop prove to be the most irritating period.... So now I wonder what my 3rd lesson will be like. Hopefully I will learn new things tomorrow....and stay within the markings. So cya folks!
Footnote: the next entry will be all about School cos....that’s exactly what I’m doing! Be prepared for more rantingS as Stress seem to be the order of the day. But I will preserve and TRIUMPH against all odds! Just keep me high, happy and MotivateD and I will do my very best!
