Hmmm..... What's up with me the last few dayS??
Was busy with my annontated biblography homework, and [horrors!] just discovered 2day that I've typed in 2 of the same article. Pls let the lec be kind enuff to allow me to re-submit....Thank you very much!!
CNY is over and done with, hopefully next yr will not be the last one that I'm spending in M'sia. On sat, we went to Mt Sinai for tea at the Penang relatives' house. And the pumpkin seeds, shall we say is fascinating. As their eldest son is going over to Australia for uni studies on tues, the mom revealed that the sage advice that their grandfather gave them was " don't marry a white girl ah!"
Which his mother swiftly rebutt" So that means black, yellow[duh] other races can lah!] And this lead to the other family commenting on how he told his daughter not to marry when she grow up and she quickly said " So you guys are unhappy with having me in the 1st place?" Ouch to precocious kids.....children are growing up too fast these days!!
After which, my dad brought me to the spectacle shop to make a new pair of specs. And had another episode......What posses the uncle to pat me on the head, saying that " I'm a BIG girl now?" Hello, I'm above 21......& my family have been patrozizing his shop for many years. And the funniest thing is, the " guy" who's always in the shop turn out to be a GirL! Though my parents knew this for many yrs, I've only found it out recently. She's always in men's clothes[think baggY] & have a spiky boy's haircut.
On sun, we had a final CNY dinner at a neighbour's place. Dinner was interesting... small forks & spoons were provided. And angbaos!![Boy are the strangers generous, unlike my M'sian distant relatives who only put like RM2 in each packet. But they've so many ppl to give angbao to, so can't really blame them].
Oh yea and on fri nite, I'd meet up with Ying & AllurE.[ the 1st time in months!] After dinner, we went to clark quay & I manage to leave w/o staying out too late...Am toying with an idea of having a 'WilD' Nite be4 I leave for Australia, but see how things go.
And on tuesday[ystd] had lunch with DaphnE!!! It's like ages, the last time we met was aft her exams 1sem ago.[Had dinner at teppanyaki]
This time round we had pepper luncH at FooD JunctioN. Yum!! After which, I had Auntie Anne's cinnamon pretzel. Shall I have a facebk petition to revive their java coffe flavour? Email me at joann_journal@hotmail.com to let me know! Cheers and cya!!
